BlackGummy (or Iman Marouf) is a Los Angeles-based DJ and electronic musician. From the very beginning, Iman was super into music. He has an eclectic music taste and his childhood was spent listening to artists like Tupac, Nirvana, Bach, Carl Cox, System of a Down, and The Notorious B.I.G. This diverse sound really influenced his unique musical style of techno, industrial, and progressive house. BlackGummy studied at the Icon Collective under the mentorship of Steve Duda. You may have caught his performances at Lollapalooza, Shambhala Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest, Electric Zoo, Escape Halloween, Buku Music Festival, or Nocturnal Wonderland. BlackGummy’s first single “Lullaby” was featured on Deadmau5’s “We Are Friends Vol. 04” compilation album in 2015. BlackGummy has released four EP’s: “Singularity” and “Impactor” in 2016, “Monolith” in 2017, and “BlackGummy: The Remixes (Vol. 1)” in 2018.
