STAYC is a k pop group made up of six women – Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J – who formed under High Up Entertainment. They created the band name “STAYC” as an acronym for “Star to a Young Culture” and as one of the biggest names in the recent iteration of k pop, it’s an apt description. Their debut single album shares the namesake “Star to a Young Culture” and it peaked at number 6 on the Korean charts. They’ve since released two EP’s: “Stereotype” in 2021, which hit number 2 on the Korean charts and 25 on the Japanese chart, and “Young-Luv.com” in 2022, which peaked at the tippy top number 1 spot on the Korean chart.
