JYP Entertainment put together a small group of talented men back in 2015 who would adopt the name Day6 (or DAY6, as is often stylized in k pop) Their debut EP “The Day” managed to reach number 2 on Billboard’s World Album Chart just one week after it dropped. Famously, the band created a project called Every Day6, which meant that they worked every single day in order to release two songs every single monght for a year. They did just that and one of those songs (“I Wait”) hit number 81 on the Billboard’s 100 Greatest K-Pop Songs of the 2010s. The band orginally had five members upon their conception, which ultimately landed them the name 5LIVE. After the addition of drummer Dowoon, they changed their name to DAY6 to accommodate this update. However, they currently only feature four young men: Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon. From 2017 to 2019, Day6 released four studio albums: “Sunrise”, “Moonrise”, “Unlock”, and “The Book of Us: Entropy”..
