Cold Cave (a group consisting of leading man Wesley Eisold, Amy Lee, Nils Bue, and Ryan McMahon) has been described as a "collage of darkwave, noise, and synthpop." They’ve been compared to early 1980s new wave, post-punk, and synthpop bands like Joy Division and New Order. Previously, Wesley was a vocalist for the hardcore groups Give Up the Ghost, Heartworm Press, and Some Girls. Wesley signed with Matador Records in 2007. Under Cold Cave (which is mostly a solo act) has released two studio albums: “Love Comes Close” in 2009 and “Cherish the Light Years” in 2011. Cold Cave has also released twelve EP’s: “Coma Potion” and “Painted Nails” in 2008; “Electronic Dreams”, “Easel and Ruby”, “The Laurels”, and “Death Comes Close” in 2009; “Stars Explode”, “New Morale Leadership”, and “Live Magazine Remixes” in 2010; “Rebellion Is Over” in 2015; and “You and Me and Infinity” in 2018; and “Fate In Seven Lessons” in 2021.
