Clutch is a rock band that hails from Germantown, Maryland that’s been churning out rock hits since 1991. The group consists of Tim Sult on lead guitar, Dan Maines on bass, Jean-Paul Gaster on drums, and Neil Fallon on vocals, rhythm guitar, and keyboards. They band currently has twelve studio albums out, along with seven live albums. Clutch has their very own label, Weathermaker Music, with whom they’ve been signed since 2008. Clutch released their very first studio album (“Transnational Speedway League: Anthems, Anecdotes and Undeniable Truths”) in 1993 and two years later, they dropped their self-titled sophomore record, which peaked at 33 on the U.S. Heat chart. “The Elephant Riders” came out in 1998 and it peaked at the number 1 spot on the U.S. Heat chart. The next nine albums followed a similar path of success, reaching the single digit spots on international Billboard charts. Their most recent studio record “Book of Bad Decisions” (which came out in 2018) peaked at the number 2 spot on the U.S. Indie chart. The members of Cluth also started The Bakerton Group, which was an instrumental jam band. They formed the independent record label River Road Records, with the goal of released their own music as they wished.
