D-A-D started out playing together when they were young, back in the early 1980s. This was in Copenhagen, Denmark and they played using their very first band name Disneyland After Dark. Obviously, the name didn’t stick, but the band did as they maintain a strong bond to this day. They dropped their very first EP back in 1985 and nearly four decades later, they’ve only had one change to their lineup (Laust Sonne replaced the previous drummer Peter Lundholm back in 1999). Their 11th album “DIC.NII.LAN.DAFT.ARD.ARK” was released in November of 2011. D-A-D was huge in Denmark but they became an international sensation in the late 80’s (which is when they were forced to change their name to avoid potential legal issues from the Walt Disney Company). The band has gone through variations of the spelling: D-A-D; D:A:D; D.A.D.; and just DAD. Their biggest breakthrough wsa “No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims” under the Warner Records banner. This was when the band was merely 5 years old. “Sleeping My Day Away” was also a pretty moderate success. Currently, the lineup consists of Jesper Binzer, Jacob Binzer, Stig Pedersen and Laust Sonne. D-A-D opened up for the Böhse Onkelz while on their farewell festival back in 2005..

CTI negotiates on behalf of professional event planners and talent buyers for paid appearances! We cannot give out direct contact information of the D-A-D agent or help distribute fan mail, personal messages, gifts, requests for free appearances, or donations of time. The D-A-D manager and agent will only work with us if we present them with funded offers for their client to work your event.
Can I book D-A-D for an event at a price less than shown?
There is low probability to book D-A-D for a party with anything substantially less than the published booking cost price range. We will negotiate with the D-A-D agent on your behalf if your funding is in place. By not having funding ready then it will more difficult to book D-A-D, because they get many offers to work events that are at or above asking price. It is also important to consider the travel costs when researching the D-A-D booking fee, as additional expenses like this, as well as an entourage of staff and equipment, are not necessarily built-in to the booking fee range shown. If your budget does not factor that in, then there is no benefit for them to want to be hired. We do not personally speak for D-A-D, but in our experience in booking talent for over 25 years, this is generally the outcome of inadequate funding.
