Decius is an up-and-coming EDM electronic group that describes themselves as having the “sounds of sweet regret.” The group consists of Fat White Family’s Lias Saoudi, Paranoid London’s Quinn Whalley, and Trashmouth Records’ Luke and Liam May. Lias wasn’t huge on EDM music but while recording a Fat White Family album in Berlin (the electronic music hub), his friends dragged him into the scene and he described it as “completely transformational.” Trashmouth members, the May brothers, started an electronic music duo Medicine 8 some years back, so they already had a foot in the door for this booming music scene. The May brothers provide Decius with a thick, sleazy, and muscular beat that works greatly with Lias’s quivering voice. Decius started releasing music in 2019, starting with a remix of Warmduscher’s “Disco Peanuts” and a couple “My Baby Just Cares for Me” remixes. Then, in 2021, they released their debut EP “Come To Me Villa”, which featured the title track (a collaboration with Lias’s indie rock group Fat White Family” and “Gay Futures”. They released their follow-up EP “Bread and Butter” that same year, along with the “Rupture Boutique” EP, “Primavera 707” EP, “Masculine Encounter” EP, “U Instead of Thought” EP, “Macbeth” EP, and “Different Guy” EP..
