Hatebreed is a metalcore and hardcore punk band from Bridgeport, Connecticut. The band consists of Jamey Jasta, Chris Beattie, Matt Byrne, Frank Novinec, and Wayne Lozinak (previous members include Larry Dwyer Jr., Dave Russo, Nick "Nickel P" Papantoniou, Matt McIntosh, Jamie "Pushbutton" Muckinhaupt, Rigg Ross, Lou Richards, and Sean Martin. They first formed back in 1994 and dropped their first album “Satisfaction is the Death of Desire” three years later. The band immediately gained a lot of cult success and was then signed to Universal Records. Their second album “Perseverance” came out in 2002 and appeared on the Billboard 200 on the 50th position. It also peaked in the U.K. at the 22nd spot on the U.K. Rock and Metal Albums chart and the 195th position on the U.K. Albums chart. In 2003, they released “The Rise of Brutality” and from there, they released a new album every three or four years until the most recent – “Weight of the False Self” – which came out in 2020. Hatebreed was nominated for Best Metal Performance during the Grammy Awards, the Best Live Band at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, and they won the Death Match Hall of Fame for Loudwire Music Awards..
