Ibidio Sound Machine is an English-based pop and electronic afro-funk band that got its start in 2013. The band is fronted by the very talented artist Eno Williams, a well-known English electronic musician and singer who has her own successful solo career as well. The band also consists of guitarist Alfred Kari Bannerman, percussionist Afla Sackey, drummer Joseph Amoako, bassist Philip PK Ambrose, trombonist/keyboardist Tony Hayden, trumpeter/keyboardist Scott Baylis and saxophonist/keyboardist Max Grunhard. They first got their start back in 2010 when Max, Leon Brichard and Benji Bouton decided they wanted to create something that utilizes elements from 80s afrobeat and 90s drum and bass. The song was called “Let’s Dance” and it was an instant hit. After releasing their debut self-titled album, they signed with Merge Records and have been with them ever since.
