Kompany (AKA Kyle Hagberg) is a dubstep/EDM musician, DJ, and producer based out of Los Angeles, although he signed on the British label called Never Say Die. Kompany decided to take up the art of DJing after seeing Skrillex perform at the Hard Summer festival back in 2011. Kompany, having experience as a drummer, took to EDM music quite nicely and had a knack for complex rhythms (given his past as a drummer). It started out as a hobby, but eventually he made his way to Icon Collective (a school for learning music in LA). This led him to become a sound designer for Cymatics.fm. In 2015, he dropped his first EP “Jackknife” which was followed up next by his 2016 releases. It proved to be a busy year, with singles “Shake the Room”, “Recognize”, “Backlash (with Hopsteady, Crichy Crich, and King Tutt)”, “Sice (with G-Rex)”, “In2”, “Byte”, “Paraanoia (with Tascione)”, “Badlands (with Nitti Gritti)”, “Stressin’ (with Jupe)”, “Hold Up (with BLVK Sheep)”, and “Light That (with Holly)”. In 2017, he released his second EP “Kill Humans” and this EP “Take Aim”. In 2018, he released the single “Thicc Boi” – a collaboration with Wooli – and the song currently has around 5 million plays on Spotify alone..
