After leaving the NBA, Nixon became a sports agent and founded the Debbie Allen Dance academy in Culver City, California with his wife. He also focused on various business ventures, served a season as radio commentator for the Clippers, and served as an analyst for KABC-TV’s NBA post-game shows.
