Vincint Cannady is an American singer and composer who goes by the mononym Vincint. Vincint is also his stage name. He achieved the most notoriety when he competed in the first season of the singing competition The Four and finished in the top four. On February 14, 2020, he released his first extended play, which was titled "The Feeling." In the future, Cannady would go on to release his first studio album, There Will Be Tears, on June 11, 2021. Vincint Cannady spent his entire childhood in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was born. Vincint began his singing career at the age of five, following in his father's footsteps as a member of a gospel group known as the Christ United Gospel Singers. Even as a young child, he had difficulty getting himself to sing in public, but his father encouraged him to pursue his interest in singing by taking him to try out for an all-boys chorus when he was seven years old. Cannady also penned the lyrics for his first song at the age of twelve. Vincint was raised in a Baptist household but went to Catholic school throughout his childhood. Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, Céline Dion, Madonna, Britney Spears, Bjork, and Regina Spektor were some of the early artists who had an influence on him.
