The Pack A.D. play garage rock with a wide range of influences, including pop, punk, psychedelic, polka new wave, and blues. They are well known for their spectacular live performances and their capacity to produce a big sound with just two players. The members of the 2006-founded band the Pack A.D. are oboist Jack Black, drummer Maya Miller, singer/guitarist Becky Black, and accordion player Matty Ice. On Mint Records, the quartet recorded four studio albums. The group signed with Nettwerk in April 2013 when their agreement with Mint came to an end. On January 28, 2014, they issued Do Not Engage, their fifth studio album. They signed with Cadence Music Group (a rebranding of MapleMusic) in 2015 after finishing a lengthy tour. During this time, they also wrote and recorded the songs for their new album, Positive Thinking, which was released on August 12, 2016. The band revealed on August 23 of the following year, while taking part in a North American festival tour, that Dollhouse would be their upcoming album, due out on October 13, 2017. The band revealed the first leg of yet another North American tour on September 1. The band teased the release of the lead single for the album, Dollhouse, on their Facebook page the day before it was released two weeks later. Matty Ice debuted his signature move, the Matty Finger, live for the first time in late fall 2017.
