Jarod Miller is a young naturalist, zoologist, host, and producer who has worked with animals for 20 years and produced television for 15 years. Miller has given speeches everywhere from universities and wildlife parks to the White House. He was the youngest accredited zoo director in the United States at the age of 25, and he was also the former executive director of the Binghamton Zoo.

Miller has propagated and campaigned to save endangered animal species since he was ten years old. Large cats, bears, prosimians, enormous and tiny primates, birds of prey, crocodiles, venomous snakes and reptiles, large hoofed creatures, and many more species of wildlife have all been nurtured, studied, and handled by him. He has knowledge in both captive and wild specimen study and data collection. In his teenage years, he also trained prize dogs for national showmanship and obedience competitions.

Miller was always drawn to the outdoors as a child and spent the most of his time there. His favorite travel destination has always been zoos, and he was familiar with all of the animals that were housed there. In fact, he came up with a three-page list of roughly 200 species when asked to list his favorite animal for a second-grade project.

Miller, who graduated with a degree in zoology from Oswego State University in New York, has written and presented scholarly work on primate behavior and ecology. He belongs to the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, is a professional fellow of the American Zoo Association, and is an associate member of Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society.

Miller founded his own wildlife production and teaching business, Wild Encounters, in 1996. Since then, he has visited more than 13 nations, with a particular emphasis on regions in South America, Central America, and Equatorial Africa.
