This vivacious and outgoing Brighton electro-punk group was founded in 2017 and tackle feminism with a dry sense of humor.

The British and Irish Modern Music Institute's Brighton campus is where the trio, who each come from different countries, first met in late 2015. They started the band Clt Drp as a requirement for their second academic year and kept it going after they finished their degrees. Annie Dorrett, a vocalist and lyricist from Toronto, honed her voice performing musical theater songs and Avril Lavigne covers in her native country before becoming involved in Brighton's alternative scene as a member of the punk band Witchshark. Daphne Koskeridou, a native of Drama in northern Greece, started drum lessons at age nine with the help of her prog rock and metal-loving father. Scott Reynolds, who was born in Southampton, first picked up a guitar when he was seven years old after being exposed to the music of Primus and the Prodigy by his older brother. Reynolds played in the hometown indie band Rival Joustas, which only had one single published in 2007, before spending eight years as the frontman of the more experimental Science of Eight Limbs. Prior to joining Clt Drp, Reynolds performed in Rival Joustas. When he first started Clt Drp, his goal was to merely concentrate on fusing drum'n'bass and metal styles, but as he became more familiar with his new bandmates' skills, he saw that they had the potential to make something more original. Reynolds did not have a bass player, so he bombarded his guitar with effects to make it sound like a synth. This assisted Clt Drp in capturing the entire focus of spectators in Brighton's smaller venues, along with Dorrett's charisma on stage and Koskeridou's fast-paced, intricate drumming style..
