Peter was a member of the Ensemble Studio Theatre and also worked at the Manhattan Punch Line Comedy Theater. In 1991, Peter joined the Ensemble Studio Theatre. Peter worked on a short play titled "English (It's Where the Words Are)" in Curt's Lab. This piece was eventually performed in the 1996 Marathon. Because of this play, he found himself in Los Angeles, where he eventually became engaged to Ellen Sandler. The HBO New Writers Project, the Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, and the Aspen Comedy Festival were among of the places where English was presented. In the play "Paulie, a Parrot's Tale," Peter played the role of Graduate Student number 1. Since that time, Peter has returned to his scientific roots and is currently working as a technical writer for NASA at their Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. He made an appearance in Nick Ullett's How Do I Get to Carnegie Hall as part of the EST LA One-Act Festival in 2017..
