Gonzales began receiving ballet training at the age of 6 when she joined in a nearby dancing school. Gonzales first saw a hip hop dance squad three years later at a dance event she went to. Marvelous Motion, whose members (Phillip Chbeeb, Di Zhang and Brandon Harrell) would eventually join her crew in I.aM.mE, was one of the crews present. Gonzales was immediately intrigued and made the decision to start taking part in hip hop. She enrolled at Lanier Middle School, which offered hip hop dance instruction among other dance forms. Her mother quickly found the Marvelous Motion Studios and registered her for a few classes there. Gonzales participated in the MTV Video Music Awards tribute to Britney Spears as one of the backup dancers.
She performed a dance routine with I.aM.mE on the Disney TV show Shake It Up, for which she received the title of "Teen Choreographer of the Year" at the World of Dance Industry Awards.
She created the dance to "We Are Monster High," the second theme song of the fashion doll franchise Monster High.
