At Emory University School of Medicine, Dr. Meisel serves as an assistant professor in the department of hematology and medical oncology. In January 2015, she began working as a doctor at the Glenn Family Breast Center at Winship Cancer Institute. She served as the Chief Fellow at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York before moving here. Medical oncologist Dr. Meisel has a passion for women's health and malignancies that specifically impact women, such as breast, cervical, endometrial, and ovarian cancers. Her objectives are to perform research that advances these patients' treatment options while providing superior, cutting-edge, tailored care to people battling these diseases. Dr. Meisel received a magna cum laude degree in history of science from Harvard College in 2004 and a medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 2008. She finished her internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2011, and while there she worked as a breast cancer researcher for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. At the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York, she finished her fellowship in medical oncology and worked there as Chief Fellow from 2013 to 2014. Dr. Meisel has presented her research on gynecologic and breast cancers at national conferences and has had her work peer-reviewed. Her research focuses on the creation of novel therapeutic alternatives for patients with gynecologic and breast malignancies, with the goal of enhancing their quality of life.
