Jack Ford, a journalist who has won Emmy and Peabody Awards, a nationally renowned trial lawyer, an author and a teacher, has had a distinct and incredibly successful career. His journey, which began in a small town in New Jersey where he was raised by a single parent, has taken him to Yale University, where he was a three-year starter on the varsity football team, to the Fordham University School of Law, where he used winnings from three appearances on the television game show Jeopardy! to help pay for his education, to courtrooms all over the nation and ultimately to the top ranks of television journalism.
After finishing law school, Mr. Ford worked as a prosecutor in New Jersey for three years before starting his own firm. As one of the nation's first corporate homicide cases, the first death penalty trial in the Northeast and the Wall Street insider trading scandal, he rose to prominence as a respected and well-known trial lawyer. He also lectured extensively at universities and law schools across the nation while serving as an adjunct professor of law at Fordham Law School and currently at Yale University. Five honorary degrees have been awarded to Mr. Ford in recognition of both his vast public service activities and professional success. The Susan G.
