The four-piece Pittsburgh band lame little horse creates intricately catchy, digital noise pop tunes. In February 2021, Ryan Walchonski and Sebastian Kinsler (guitar, production, vocals, bass) started a band in Ryan's student apartment in South Oakland, Pennsylvania. Soon, Jake Kelley (drums), Ryan's roommate, joined the group, and in May 2021, the group released their debut EP, "modern tourism," with artwork made by future member Lydia Slocum (vocals, bass). Lydia brought her own charming vocals, rich melodies, and witty lyrics to the band's rich mixture after formally joining the group as a bassist and vocalist in June of that year. The quintet gained a reputation as one of the most intriguing new bands on the scene by playing their initial concerts at DIY venues throughout Pittsburgh and Philadelphia from the summer to the fall of that year. Feeble Little Horse's debut full-length album, "Hayday," was made available via Julia's War Recordings in October 2021. The eleven tracks on the album are packed with deep textures and thrilling suspense. The atmosphere alternates between lovely noise-pop components and more visceral discharges, and the whole thing is poised on a razor's edge between the bright and dark, the earnest and unhinged. In 2022, the band will continue to grow and change, and new music that is in the works may yet again reinvent the band's sound. Prior to it, though, the band's record company, Unstable, will release a new version of "Hayday". This reissue, which is available on vinyl for the first time, also includes two new tracks: the previously unreleased "Dog Song 2" and a Full Body 2 remix of "Termites.".
