From Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, comes the five-piece indie rock group known as Ball Park Music. Sam Cromack on guitar and vocals, Jennifer Boyce on bass and backing vocals, Paul Furness on keyboard and trombone, Dean Hanson on guitar and backing vocals, and Daniel Hanson make up the group (guitar, drums) Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs, their first studio album, was released in 2011 and peaked at number 36 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It was nominated for Australian Album of the Year at the J Awards. The group first released Museum in 2012, and then in 2014, Puddinghead, their third studio album, which reached its second-place high. It gave rise to the platinum-certified hit "She Only Loves Me When I'm There," the group's first song to reach the top 10 on the ARIA Singles chart. The band's sixth album, Ball Park Music, was released in 2020. It included the hit "Cherub," which reached number four on the Triple J Hottest 100 of that year. The record was a multiple award nominee and took home the Queensland Music Award for Album of the Year. The band's eighth and most latest album, Weirder and Weirder, was released in 2022. It was preceded by the single "Sunscreen," which peaked at number 21 on the 2021 Hottest 100.
