Jeverson was reflecting on his aspirations while lounging on a beach in his home country of Grenada. He was hoping to find a method to break into the music industry. While he worked, he developed a rhythm by slapping his legs and stomping his feet in the sand. While he did this, we can hear him. Today, he explains that "Move," the first track on his first EP with the same name, is built around that same beat at its core. It is a warm introduction to one of Nashville's coolest new musical residents, and it features retro-funk panache as well as a vocal that can vary between smooth and gritty tones (sounding like both members of Silk Sonic at once).
