Sweet Creep resonates with the same sense of bright new vistas since it was recorded in Jim James' improvised hilltop studio in Montecito Heights, where golden twilight fills up thirsty grass valleys. Sweet Creep is a newly signed lease on life, from the sympathetic Are You Thirsty to the summer-crushing Humidifier.
Jonny, who was born in Montana and raised in Esmont, Virginia, he has spent time in almost every American city as well as numerous foreign locations, packing 10 lives into one and storing half of his stuff in the garages of friends and well-wishers. But despite his reputation for vitalism and daring, most of his music comes from the quieter periods. He takes a peculiar, unnoticed aspect of life and steeps it in song until it is ready for recording.
