Midtown is a band hailing from New Brunswick, New Jersey, in the United States, and playing pop punk music. In November of 1998, three students from Rutgers University came together to form Midtown, but the band quickly expanded to include a fourth member. Before disbanding in 2005, the band issued three full-length studio albums in addition to three extended plays during their career. In the beginning of 2014, Midtown got back together to perform three gigs, the first of which was a surprise performance at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, and the remaining two took place at the Skate And Surf Festival. They played additional gigs together in 2022 as openers for the reunion tour put on by My Chemical Romance. Gabriel Saporta made the announcement that the band Midtown has gotten back together on February 17, 2014, and that they would be performing at the Skate and Surf Festival. My Chemical Romance made the announcement that Midtown would be a supporting act for the United States portion of their reunion tour on March 9, 2022. The tour will begin in the fall of 2022. In addition to performing as the headlining act at their own performances during their Resurrection Tour in 2022, the band will also be performing at the Adjacent beach festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in 2023..
