Truett Heintzelman and Philip Lupton's initiative called Briscoe is based in Austin. Philip founded Briscoe during his senior year of high school to serve as a platform for his own music. Truett joined the band after the redheaded pair met at The University of Texas, making them an official unit. The two have together issued an EP called "Briscoe EP."
A recent run of eight residency exhibitions at Austin's storied C-Boys and The Continental Club Gallery were completely sold out. The group recently played with My Morning Jacket and Death Cab for Cutie at Shaky Knees Festival, supported CAAMP and Zach Bryan and Innings Fest with Black Pumas and Tame Impala.
