The hints started to stack up, and they all pointed to a mysterious character known only as Deathpact, a hooded figure with a mask disguising their identity that looked like the ones in the advertising. The mysterious electronic music act's CIPHER ONE EP was published following the launch of that remarkable campaign, which is now referred to as a "Deathdrop." Deciphering messages concealed in a social media image, the community fell down a rabbit hole that led them to Wikipedia pages with embedded codes that led to New York City and other digital and physical activations.
Deathpact started making public appearances in performances dubbed "materializations" after the third Deathdrop. Following a takeover of Diplo's Revolution SiriusXM show, Deathpact made their live debut at the Shambhala Music Festival. Their only appearance during the epidemic was at the virtual Digital Mirage event, where they also gave a performance.
