Amanda Little is a distinguished professor of journalism and science writing at Vanderbilt University, a columnist for Bloomberg, and a celebrated author. Amanda's work encompasses environmental and agricultural reporting, innovation, and sustainable food practices. Her reporting takes her to some of the most difficult and remote locations, from deep-sea oil rigs to the depths of manholes and sewage plants, and into monsoon clouds.

She is the author of the acclaimed book, The Fate of Food: What We’ll Eat in a Bigger, Hotter, Smarter World, which delves into the challenges of feeding an increasingly crowded planet while navigating the effects of climate change. Her TED Talk on this topic has more than one million views, and her work has been featured in publications such as the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and the New Yorker.

Amanda is also the author of Power Trip: The Story of America’s Love Affair With Energy. Her contributions to the field of environmental journalism have earned her numerous accolades, including the Nautilus Book Award, a Rachel Carson Environment Book Award, and the Jane Bagley Lehman Award for excellence in environmental journalism.

Amanda has interviewed several prominent political figures, including former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, as well as current President Joe Biden. She has also appeared on popular news programs such as “Fresh Air” with Terry Gross, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Amanpour & Co., and CNN with Fareed Zakaria. Amanda is a graduate of Brown University and the founder and director of Kidizenship, a non-partisan youth civics platform for teens and tweens.
