In Reykjavik, Jofriour Akadottir started her musical career by founding Pascal Pinon with her twin sister and two friends. A delicate combination of warm sorrow and dreamy optimism served as the group's fuel for their sparkling folk music. The sisters, who were raised by a music-obsessed mother and a composer father, were exposed to everything from György Ligeti and John Cage to the Cranberries and Tori Amos.
