The four buddies of Stavroz met in the east of Flanders and came from the country of compromise in the middle of Europe. IJsbrand De Wilde & Gert Beazar's initial focus was mostly on performing DJ sets and writing music that reflected their love of crashing universes. They teamed up with Maxim Helincks & Pieter De Meester to transform their DJing into a live band and they kept looking for unexplored territories in electronic music. Their beautifully organic, dramatic and acoustic approach to electronic music is the result of this. They thus received second-place honors for "best producer" and "best breakthrough artist" in national competitions for Belgium's electronic music scene.
The four maintained adding to their inventory and refining their own aesthetic in the years that followed. For the four-piece, their EP "The Ginning" marked an early breakthrough. Due in large part to the B-side "The Finishing," it achieved gold status in France, occupied the top slot on the Hype Machine and was selected as the vinyl of the month by Germany's "Faze Magazine."
As they began appearing frequently on numerous worldwide stages, their small live performance became more dramatic and their distinctive dj sets spread like wildfire.
