Jack Tatum, previously of Jack and the Whale and Facepaint, now goes by the name Wild Nothing for his musical ventures, which started as shimmering, synth-washed indie pop. Tatum's career has been focused on fusing his delicate melodies with gentle, reverberant instrumental accompaniment and his whisper-intimate vocals. His early recordings featured a shimmering copy of Kate Bush's "Cloudbusting," and he began with a collection of songs that focused on this combination.
