Strange Bones have experienced a lot in their little history, much like the community from whence they come. Punk rock was introduced to them by a parent who not only grew up in the punk scene but also documented it on video. In the 1980s, John and Karen Bentham realized that someone needed to record all of the bands that were passing through the North West, so they headed out with his cine camera to accomplish that goal. They filmed everyone, including the UK Subs, GBH, Black Flag and Throbbing Gristle.
With this knowledge and confidence in their abilities, they created a punk band in their early teens and performed at approximately 1000 concerts together in countries including Japan, the United States, Australia, Italy, Spain and Germany, toured with Rancid, performed at Maida Vale and participated in Radio 1's Big Weekend. The anthem "God Save The Teen" followed the powerful Blackpool Rock song "Sick of it All," which has received heavy support from Annie Mac, Dan P Carter, Phil Taggart, Abbie McCarthy, Julie Adenuga, Alex Baker and Ian Camfield on radio stations including BBC Radio 1 and Beats 1..
