Trella, a pop singer/songwriter from Nashville, began her career by obtaining her first publishing contract as a songwriter. Trella was reared in a musical household on Florida's northeast coast. She learned to appreciate music from a very young age thanks to her mother, a singer, pianist and vocal teacher. She fell in love with songwriting when she first picked up a guitar.
Trella was influenced as a child by legendary performers like Billy Joel, The Beach Boys and Ella Fitzgerald. Trella studied in a liberal arts high school as a kid, where she received classical vocal training, picked up the piano and encountered a variety of musical styles.
