Rahill Jamalifard is a multidisciplinary artist and musician originally from Michigan who now resides in the picturesque Hudson Valley in upstate New York. Rahill gained a reputation for fusing a diverse range of influences into engrossing and heavy pop songs that made references to the modes and melodies of the Iranian/American household in which she was raised—a heritage she has continued to nurture through repeated trips to Iran. Rahill was a founding member of Brooklyn garage-rock mainstays Habibi. Her emerging solo work reflects an increased fondness for Iranian culture and music. Indeed, the inlay of her upcoming first solo LP, Flowers At Your Feet, has maps of Shiraz and Isfahan, the hometowns of her family.
