From Markham, Ontario, comes the outstanding badminton player Michelle Li. Li has made a name for herself in the badminton community thanks to her many accomplishments.

Li's most noteworthy achievement was in 2014 when she won the gold medal in women's singles badminton at the Commonwealth Games and became the champion. She became the first Canadian to win an individual gold medal in this division at the Commonwealth Games thanks to this momentous triumph. She has also demonstrated her abilities and tenacity by taking home gold in both singles and doubles in the Pan American Games.
