With the help of BTS, Jimin (Park Ji-min) has released three of his solo songs. These include "Lie" from 2016; "Serendipity" from 2017; and "Filter" from 2020, all of which saw success on the Gaon Digital Chart in South Korea. He co-wrote and released "Promise," his debut song with a solo credit, in 2018. Additionally, he collaborated with Ha Sung-woon on the song "With You" for the 2022 soundtrack of the TvN drama "Our Blues."

In 2023, Jimin's solo career soared to new heights with the release of his first album, "Face." The album debuted at number one in South Korea and Japan and peaked at number two in the United States, making it a spectacular success. The second song from the album, "Like Crazy," debuted at the top of the coveted US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Jimin became the first artist to reach the top of the Hot 100 list and the highest-charting Korean solo artist of all time thanks to this accomplishment.

Jimin spent his formative years in the South Korean city of Busan's Geumjeong District. His family, which also includes his mother, father, and younger brother, is quite close-knit. He attended Hodong Elementary School and Yonsan Middle School in Busan as a child. He joined the Just Dance Academy in middle school, where he developed his pop and locking dance techniques. He excelled in modern dance and was honored as one of the best students in the program at Busan High School of Arts. He eventually joined Big Hit Entertainment after being encouraged by an instructor to try out for an entertainment firm. He transferred to Korean Arts High School in 2012 after completing the auditions, where he eventually graduated in 2014.

Alongside his music career, Jimin pursued his academic studies. He earned his degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment in August 2020 from Global Cyber University. He will graduate with a Master of Business Administration in Advertising and Media from Hanyang Cyber University in 2021..
