It had been a while since Steve Drymalski and his band, Men Among Thieves, traveled the nation in a friend's beat-up van, creating and performing music.
As they say, "life happened," and that universe took a little turn. At that moment, Drymalski placed his music on hold for a long time and focused on a profession off stage.
After spending decades touring the rock and roll scene and accumulating enough miles to take multiple round-the-world trips, Steve recently returned to music to form SunDown47 with a group of fellow musicians from his hometown of Milwaukee and Minneapolis.
He got together with a number of well-known people from the Twin Cities studio scene to work on some songs he had written. The concept developed on its own, and it soon became clear that the idea would become the whole length of an album.
SunDown47's debut album, titled Along For The Ride, evolved from a musical vision combined with experience and time.
After years of collaborating in various capacities with well-known musicians like Neil Young, Soundgarden, Sone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam and Aerosmith, among others, Drymalski was able to develop a distinctive musical style that pays homage to the incredible history of rock 'n' roll while also encapsulating the spirit of the moment in song..
