Having grown up listening to everything from Pink Floyd and Hendrix to The Beatles and Stevie Wonder, Woody's introduction to classic rock and folk music quickly launched him into the music industry. At the age of twelve, he purchased his first guitar and began writing songs and performing in bands right away. He is still in regular jam sessions with his close friend Jakwob today.
He first became interested in D+B in the late 1990s, and after being influenced by artists like Aphrodite, Photek, Logistics, Roni Size, and DJ Hype, he eventually released his debut solo album on Hospital Records, "Sick Music 3."
After winning "Best Newcomer" at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards for both producer and DJ, he quickly had his song "Forest Fires" with Fred V & Grafix added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist. After receiving such recognition, he went on to do his own live session at the renowned Maida Vale studios with Friction and made an appearance on BBC Radio 1's extremely exclusive "Xtra Talent" show hosted by Crissy Criss.
The pinnacle of his fame was reached with his second album, "Blue Leaves," which debuted at the top of the iTunes Electronic chart right away. receiving two nominations for the DNBA Awards—one for "Best Producer" and the other for "Best Album.".
