Los Angeles' DECEITS, are reviving post-punk's passion. The group, named after a song by the UK's extremely underappreciated band The Wild Flowers, have developed a cult-like following in the goth/alternative underground because to their upbeat live performances and catchy, gloomy soundscapes.
DECEITS decided to play post-punk that wasn't limited to being solely somber and monotonous since they weren't scared to stand out. Kevin "Puppy" Moreno (vocals, bass guitar, keyboards), Skylar Francise (guitars), and Francisco Saenz (percussions) make up the band, which was founded on a mutual love of bands like The Cure, Human Tetris, Motorama, The Chameleons, and For Against. They aren't afraid to draw inspiration from genres outside of the "goth" musical tree.
