Born and raised in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, Khamari is a versatile performer, composer, and producer. His first project, Eldorado, follows the rise and fall of a story that includes his early years of anxious isolation on Jealous, the discovery and growth of an exciting relationship on That Girl and Pull Up, its eventual breakdown on The Heat, a nostalgic look back on Other Side, and a final somber epilogue in Demons. With help from his close colleagues Trackside, his emotionally sincere lyrics is complemented by modern sounds and excellent production. Talented as a singer, pianist, and guitarist, and having played everything from the violin to the French horn as a child, he dropped out of Berklee School of Music early to focus on his career.
The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone, Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi, and Mac Miller are just a few of the artists that have influenced Khamari's work. His next goal is to keep searching for the meeting point of classic musicality and modern style while maintaining the openness and relatability that initially made him appealing.
