Early on, Jeff's talent for the stage was recognized, and he threw himself into the performing arts. All bets were off when Jeff realized the power of food. He fell in love with cuisine the moment he opened Prime Time Deli & Catering in Westmont, Illinois, with his cousin after graduating from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.
Having perfected his acting and improvisational talents and gained expert cooking knowledge, he traveled to Los Angeles to try and combine his two passions: comedy and cookery. He increased the stakes and enrolled in the Le Cordon Bleu culinary program to hone his cooking abilities after working in Hollywood for a few years. After graduating as valedictorian, Jeff packed up and moved back to Chicago, where he worked as a sandwich artist and private corporate chef in addition to teaching cooking classes and giving stage performances on the weekends.
