Maximo Park consists of Paul Smith with vocals, Duncan Lloyd on guitar, Archis Tiku on bass, Lukas Wooller on keyboard, and Tom English with the drums. The bands debut album, A Certain Trigger, was released in 2005 but began in 2004 when the majority of the album was recorded in Duncan Lloyd's house. The album was commerically and critically successful, having sold over 300,000 copies and nominated for the Mercury Prize. Maximo Park was also the first band to play the Ibiza Rocks festival on its opening event. The band released their second album, Our Earthly Pleasures in 2007, and followed up a year later with, Quicken the Heart. Maximo Park's fourth album, The National Health, was released in 2012 and focuses on the global recession. .
