Johan, who is originally from Stockholm, has spent the most of the last 20 years living in London. He developed a passion for DJing as a result of his early love of organic pop music, disco, punk and '90s techno. He also collected records throughout his adolescence.
It wasn't always clear what he intended to concentrate on after deciding that it would be sensible to create his own records; instead, he approached it as an ongoing process. He first began putting out a few loud EPs and remixes on different European and American labels, but eventually began returning to his roots and signed with the Belgian disco label Eskimo. He then put out a string of singles, including "Fake Love," "Rikki" and "Running," which were played on national radio in Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and Sweden.
Johan temporarily stopped performing as a DJ and releasing music in order to develop and produce songs for other artists. He then made a comeback with the single "Back to Summertime" and now it seems as though he's totally recovered with the new retro-inspired hit "Do You Remember".
