Edgar Bennett is a former NFL running back that ended his professional football career after 7 years. He played for the Green Bay Packers from 1992-1996 and the Chicago Bears in 1998-1999. Bennett played football for Florida State University as a fullback. He was considered as one of FSU’s most versatile fullbacks in the school’s history. After his successful college football career, Bennett was then drafter in the 4th round in the 1992 NFL Draft. He was the 103rd overall pick by the Green Bay Packers. Bennett started his career as a fullback, but then in 1995 he was moved to running back where he gained 1,067 rushing yards. Bennett’s football career ended with the Packers Super Bowl XXXI victory. After rupturing his Achilles tendon in 1997, he moved to play for the Chicago Bears for 2 years then decided to retire.
