Kristopher Roe is the sole constant member of The Ataris. He is the lead singer and guitar player. His band swaps out very often and he always plays with new sets of musicians. They have released five full studio albums to date, the sixth album has been in the works for almost a decade but has been getting pushed back repeatedly. Their 4th album So Long, Astoria was certified gold. They released 4 albums under Kung Fu Records until they switched to Columbia Records for their So Long Astoria album which was very popular. This album included the hit songs Boys Of Summer" (A Don Henley Cover song), "In This Diary", and "The Saddest Song". They also recorded a song that made it onto the soundtrack for Spider-Man 2. Front-man, Kris Roe, started a much darker project that he wanted to have under a different band name but contracts forced him to release it under the name The Ataris, so their six album was a very different tone, more similar to artists such as The Cure or The Smiths.
