When they were 15, the pair met through their vocal coach — who had an operation in Houston, near Maddie, and in Dallas, two hours from Tae — during a showcase in North Texas. Maddie & Tae got their first hit with the single Girl in a Country Song which hit no. 1 on the US Country charts and was certified Platinum. Their second single Fly hit top 10 on the Country charts and was certified Gold. The duo has received award nominations from the CMT Music Awards and The Academy Of Country Music. Maddie & Tae have released one studio album entitled “Start Here” which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard US Country charts.
