Lisa Kay Solomon creates spaces, activities, and educational programs that support people in embracing complexity, growing as individuals, and fostering community. Her art combines possibility with creativity, fostering the ability to see the big picture even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges.
As a Designer in Residence at Stanford University, Lisa focuses on bridging the fields of design thinking and futures. She develops programs like "The Future's Happening" and "Vote by Design: Presidential Edition" to teach students and practice skills they may not be aware they need. She works closely with the K12 community to make futures thinking a cornerstone of 21st-century education. She teaches seminars at school, such as Inventing the Future, where students conceive, discuss, and analyze the 50-year futures of developing tech.
Lisa has been recognized as one of ixDA's Women of Design and as one of the Thinkers50 Radar List. She has also been a founding chair of Singularity University's Transformational Practices initiative, taught design and leadership at the California College of the Art's MBA program in Design strategy, and given guest lectures at leadership conferences and organizations all over the world.
Co-author of the best-selling books Design A Better Business: New Tools, Skills, Mindset and Strategy for Innovation and Moments of Impact: How to Design Strategic Conversations that Accelerate Change, Lisa's work has been translated into more than a dozen languages.
